FUEL AND NEW NAIRA NOTES SCARCITY: FIFTH COLUMNISTS WORKING IN CAHOOTS WITH PDP

Nigerians should no longer be in doubt about those working in cahoots with fifth columnists in the system to inflict avoidable pains on our hapless people for political end.

No sooner Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu empathised with the Nigerian people facing the dual crises of fuel and new Naira notes scarcity, than the opposition PDP and the Atiku camp issued a knee-jerk response, derailing from the issues, distorting Asiwaju’s statement and trying, in vain, to create a wedge between our presidential candidate and President Muhammadu Buhari.

When the guilty are afraid of being uncovered, they try to push back with red-herring

For the records, Asiwaju Tinubu during APC campaign rally at Abeokuta on Wednesday, in his statement, did not mention, blame or accuse President Muhammadu Buhari for the current challenges in the country.

Asiwaju Tinubu was only adverting government’s attention to the sabotage being carried out by some Fifth Columnists in the system, possibly working in cahoots with the PDP.

The CBN officials, including Governor Godwin Emefiele have said many times that enough new Naira notes have been supplied to the banks, yet our people complain that they have not been able to get the new notes.

In recent days, many ATMs are either not working or when working they are dispensing the old notes, just a few days to the January 31 deadline.

Similarly, Asiwaju Tinubu is aware of the salutary efforts by President Buhari to end the fuel queues, by chairing a 14-man panel. Yet the queues and agony continue.

For a presidential candidate, who cares about the suffering of our people, he has a duty to warn government that its efforts to make life better for Nigerians are being sabotaged on several fronts.

Our presidential candidate only re-echoed what is well known and acknowledged, even by President Buhari himself at different fora: That there are Fifth Columnists in and outside of government who often throw spanners in the works against good intentions and programmes of the government.

How does an advisory genuinely made by Asiwaju Tinubu to protect and create goodwill for the government of his party become an attack? It can only be so in the jaundiced view of the PDP.

It is in this light we found amusing the directionless Atiku Campaign’s bagful of mischief in their hurriedly put together press statement meant to gain shameful mileage from the suffering of Nigerians.

PDP and Atiku should remember not to get high on their own smoke. No political blackmail and an attempt to create a conflict between Tinubu and his long-term ally, President Muhammadu Buhari can succeed.

We have bad news for Atiku and his handlers: their latest mischief is therefore doomed to fail.

The Atiku rudderless campaign, always seeking cheap shots and easy ways has again woefully attempted to make a mountain out of a molehill from the comments made by Asiwaju Tinubu in Abeokuta.

As a patriotic and compassionate leader, Asiwaju Tinubu will not stomach seeing ordinary Nigerians being made to face excessive difficulties over mundane issues due to activities of petrol and currency hoarders.

As a proud leader of the APC, Asiwaju Tinubu would not also look indifferent as his party and the government get dirtied with black brush at a critical time like this, whether he is a candidate or not.

Atiku camp’s hasty move to mine political capital out of the clearly difficult situation betrays his campaign’s possible connivance, due to its desperation.

As Asiwaju said in Abeokuta, these orchestrated hardships will not stop his impending victory come 25 February. Nigerians shall surely vote for a party that is working to solve all the problems and mess created by the PDP for which their presidential candidate was an integral part in the, largely, 16 unproductive years they spent in government.

Atiku and his team can continue their indulgence in fake news and twisted narratives, they cannot change the minds of majority of Nigerians who have long rejected the PDP and Atiku, after their 16 wasted years in power.

Governor AbdulRazaq Set To Commission Highest Number Of Modern Glass Squash Courts In West Africa

Kwara State government is set to unveil 10 modern glass squash courts at the state’s stadium complex in Ilorin.

According to the chairman of Kwara State Sports Commission, Bola Magaji, the modern arenas, which are the highest number situated in one location in Nigeria and West Africa, are currently being constructed by the state government to continue improving the standard of the sport in the state.

He noted that Kwara State, which has produced stars in squash and also dominated the sport across Nigeria in recent times, needed to upgrade its facilities and other sports arenas at the state stadium to meet modern athletics demands.

He added that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is focusing on transforming Kwara State to Nigeria’s hub of sports.

“The two courts initially at the stadium have been renovated and the government is adding eight more courts that would accommodate singles and doubles events. It will be ready for use very soon.

“This facility has not been seen at the moment in any state in Nigeria and West Africa. Kwara State is known for outstanding performance in squash. Most of our athletes were used by other states at the 2022 National Sports Festival at Asaba, which shows the state’s commitment to the sport.”

Magaji, a former national squash champion, said that apart from the squash courts, other facilities at the Ilorin Stadium are being renovated to help athletes hone their skills in an organised environment.

“We have 32 active sports in Kwara State and all facilities to make athletes excel is being put in place.

“The state government is also working hard to prepare the basketball team for continental engagements… we are not leaving out the welfare of players and coaches of Kwara United F.C, who are currently playing in the NPFL,” he said.

Kwara Gov AbdulRazaq is a visionary, will get our partnership: French Ambassador

• Says work ongoing on devt of Lata Grazing Reserve

• Devt of Reserve will aid food security, says Gov

French Ambassador to Nigeria Emmanuelle Blatmann has said she is impressed by the clear vision of Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and his deep understanding of contemporary issues of sustainable development and governance.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to Government House in Ilorin on Tuesday evening, Blatmann said the governor’s focus on agribusiness, garment production, tourism, ICT, renewable energy, and entertainment shows he is a visionary who truly understands the direction he is headed as a chief executive.

Blatmann said the French government is open to immediate partnership with Kwara under him, beginning in February with a bilateral talk on how to develop the Lata Grazing Reserve and make a new frontier of socioeconomic growth.

The ambassador said her government plans to approve investments in various businesses at the Reserve and Kwara economy by at least 10 French firms.

“We want to acknowledge the fact that we have been working on a project that is dedicated to the Lata grazing reserve. There will be a committee that will meet in February in Paris at the French Treasury in order to formally award a grant dedicated to the development of the grazing reserve,” she said.

“More than 10 French companies have been successfully mobilised into all necessary and complementary areas such as pasture improvement, animal feeding, veterinary and medicinal animal help; bovine genetics and reproduction; and milk production and processing with a leading company in milk production around the world.”

She said a committee will be put in place in February to work on the feasibility study ahead of contract award, and that the implementation will commence in 2024.

She commended the Governor and his team for impressively pursuing growth for the state.

The French Ambassador also signified interest in partnering Kwara on some of its key projects like Innovation Hub, Visual Arts Centre, digital literacy and cultural development, including how to promote the French language in local schools and exchange programme that may see some Kwarans go to France.

“We are aware of different projects that your government has initiated such as the Innovation Hub, Visual Art Centre, and others. If you need any partnership that you would like us to work on, we will be very happy to do so. Something like cinematography, film making, fashion, and all those cultural things,” she said.

“After the approval in February, it will take about 10 months (the beginning of the year 2024). This is a grant that was allocated by the French Treasury in response to a need that was expressed by your government.

“We are also very committed to promoting teaching and learning of French language throughout Nigeria, and interested to also partner with Kwara on this if you find it useful. We believe it is an asset for the state as it offers an employability advantage, especially that Nigeria is surrounded by French speaking countries.

“I am quite impressed by the clear vision you have for the kwara state. I know you are very involved in gender equality and cultural development, but I can see it goes far beyond all that. I must say that a lot of what you have said is really opening new prospects and I think there are many interesting things we can do together. We are ready to work with Kwara state because of you (Governor) and your team.”

Blatmann was accompanied on the visit by the Economic Counsellor in the Embassy Pascal Furth; the Embassy’s Counsellor on Agriculture Sonia Darrace; and Mr. Yohann Narurai. They were received in Ilorin by the Governor alongside some cabinet members.

AbdulRazaq, for his part, said the administration has been taking steps to partner with France in agriculture and livestock to check the lingering conflicts between headsmen and farmers, and promote food security in the state.

“Our herders are largely on the move. Something has to give to make them more sedentary. There has to be genuine efforts in that direction for the good of all. With rapid evolution, urbanisation, climate change, reduction in water bodies and properties, and grazing land, there will be more challenges for herdsmen and other economic groups. For this reason, we have been seeing conflicts with farmers and others,” he said.

“So, developing grazing reserves and giving land titles to herdsmen will also create food security for us. It will be a win-win situation. That is why we seek your support and expertise in putting up a good master plan (good feasibility study) on the Grazing Reserve, which will be sustainable. Yes, it will take time to put the programme in place, but it is just important to get it right. We see a great future in partnering with France in agriculture because France seems to be the master of the game in that sector with a lot of expertise.”

The Governor also mentioned other areas of interest for partnerships, including creative industry, energy transition, production, and consumption, adding that attention is fast shifting to solar energy to source light and drive economic growth.

Ex-President Obasanjo Lauds Governor AbdulRazaq Over Youth Inclusion In Governance

Former Nigerian President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has commended Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over his policy of including and engaging youths in governance.

The former President said he is extremely proud of developments in the state under Governor AbdulRazaq as he gets many testimonies from different quarters on his efforts and strides.

He made these comments during a chat with the Governor when he was received to the state at the Ilorin International Airport over the weekend.

Chief Obasanjo had visited the state to attend the wedding ceremony between the children of popular businessman Alhaji Kamarudeen Yusuf (KAMWIRE) and Alhaji Adelodun Oba Adebayo SAN.

The ceremony which was also graced by the Governor had many other prominent dignitaries in the country in attendance, including Chief of Staff to the President Prof. Ibrahim Gambari; Minister of Mines and Steel Arc. Olamilekan Adegbite; Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, Olofa of Offa Oba Muftau Muhammed Gbadamosi; top businessman Alhaji Aliko Dangote; among others.

Governor AbdulRazaq has earned recognition for youth and women inclusion in government. His cabinet is peopled mostly by youths and women in what has never been witnessed in the state in the past.

Kwara currently holds the record of having the youngest commissioner in the whole of Nigeria. The state has produced two youngest commissioners under Governor AbdulRazaq.

In his remarks, Chief Obasanjo said, “I am proud and happy about the great testimonies that come from Kwara State. I have followed and observed your passion for youth inclusion in governance. It is very commendable because it is a way of securing the future of our country.

“These young people are being exposed to governance and administration at the early part of their lives. They will surely contribute their quota to national development through the experience they have gathered over the years.

“I hear a lot of positive stories about Kwara State under your administration. I follow the developmental strides, particularly the transformation and revolution you are bringing to the agricultural sector. I commend all these efforts. You are doing so well and I wish you success at the forthcoming polls.”

WHO, NPHCDA, other partners hail Gov AbdulRazaq as Kwara launches new health intervention

Development partners on Monday commended the many strides of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in the health sector, saying the achievements point at the governor’s firm commitment to public good.

The commendation was made in Ilorin, the capital city, where the state officially flagged off an investment fund to deepen access to primary healthcare services in Kwara State through IMPACT project.

IMPACT, an acronym for Immunization Plus and Malaria Process by Accelerating and Transparency, is funded by the World Bank after the state paid $100,000 counterpart funds. Each benefiting PHC is getting N4.6m to upgrade primary healthcare infrastructure.

Representative of the World Health Organization Dr Walter Kazadi Mulombo commended the administration for its strategic partnerships and investment in primary healthcare programmes to deliver quality healthcare services to the citizens.

Dr. Mulombo, who spoke through the North Central Coordinator for WHO, Dr. Asma’l Zeenat Kabir, said Kwara was able to have the programme in place because of the leadership commitment of the Governor.

“I want to, on behalf of the representative of WHO, commend and congratulate the Kwara State Government for establishing the IMPACT project to improve access to universal health coverage,” she said.

She lauded AbdulRazaq for providing the enabling grounds for the WHO to deliver on its 2023 goals, which she said was meant to cover at least 3 billion people worldwide.

“WHO’s 2023 goal is a global goal that has the 3 billion live goal. The first is that WHO intends to reach 1 billion people to have access to universal health coverage. Of course, this is part of the way for which the WHO appreciated Kwara State,” she said.

“Another 1 billion people are going to become healthier. And 1 billion more people will get protected from health emergencies. This is in direct alignment with what the Kwara State Government has been doing.”

She called on the implementing agency to ensure that the project is effectively handled to achieve the set objectives.

The event was well attended by the Governor; Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi; Senator Umar Sadiq (Kwara North); cabinet members including Commissioner for Health, Dr. Raji Razaq; Executive Secretary Kwara State Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr. Nusirat Elelu; State Coordinator of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) Pharmacist Hanifa Hamza; and State Team Lead Africa Field Epidemiology Network (AFENET) Dr. Tinuke Ahmed.

Others were the representative of the Emir of Ilorin and Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Dr. Abubakar Usman Jos; the Olupako of Share Oba Haruna Olawale Sulaiman; and other traditional rulers and chiefs; and representatives of the primary healthcare centers across the 193 geopolitical wards of the state; among others.

Dr. Raji, in his remarks, said that the health sector under the present administration has been transformed to meet the needs of the populace, commending AbdulRazaq for his leadership qualities.

Dr. Elelu, for her part, said the administration has repositioned the health sector through prompt payments of counterpart funds, adequate investments in basic infrastructure, prompt payment of salaries of health workers, and their promotion, among other incentives that enable the state to stand shoulder high on health issues in the comity of states.

She said the agency will do everything within its power to ensure that the resources entrusted into its care are utilized for the common man and in line with the necessary guidelines.

Pharm. Hanifa Hamza, from NPHCDA, urged the state to ensure diligence and accountability, saying the two qualities will actually pay back.

AFENET’s representative, Dr. Tinuke Ahmed, for her part, said the IMPACT project indicates that the government means well for its people and promised to work closely with the administration in the implementation stage to enable it reap the full benefits of such investments.

Governor AbdulRazaq, for his part, said the programme again underscores his administration’s focus to ensure universal health coverage for an average Kwaran.

“I welcome you all to this important occasion which signals another milestone in the life of our administration. One of the cardinal goals of our administration is to ensure universal health coverage for all Kwarans, irrespective of their location. This has guided all the strategic interventions we have made in the health sector, “he said.

“One of the early commitments our administration made is the Expression of Interest in the IMPACT Project by meeting all the necessary requirements, including the payment of $100,000 counterpart fund.

“The idea is to enable our Primary Health Care Centres to have some level of financial autonomy and the capacity to optimally deliver basic health care services to the people.

“This (programme) is a continuation of the legacies of our administration. We have consistently been investing in the health sector, including the primary health care system through renovation or construction of health facilities in several locations in the state, recruitment of all cadres of health workers. We have equipped many of our health facilities with equipment this state never had before. We will not relent, especially now that the results have been quite impressive.”

NON-INDIGENES IN KWARA STATE DECLARE TOTAL SUPPORT FOR GOV ABDULRAZAQ

Non-Indigenes in Kwara State have declared a total support for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in his re-election bid, pledging to vote overwhelmingly for him in the forthcoming election.

They made this known at a consolidative forum meeting where they said they would continue to cooperate and support the administration of Governor AbdulRazaq.

In a statement by the Total Coordinator of the Amalgamated Non-Indigenes Associations, Barrister Adokutu Jafaru Ibie, previous administrations were condemned for playing politics of exclusion with non-indigenes in the state.

“Past governors only remember non-indigenes when it comes to getting our votes during electioneering periods. This time around, however, only the AbdulRazaq administration in the history of Kwara State has truly accorded non-indigenes the required recognition in the governance of the state.

“This is one government every non-indigene from the six geo-political zones of the country resident in Kwara must appreciate and work and accept for fulfilling promises made to the people. We’ll ever remember Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as a promise keeper, and has truly activated the substance of his promises to the people of the six geo-political zones resident in Kwara State.”

Adokutu urged non-indigenes in the state not to be swayed by the deceit of opposition, telling them to queue behind the ruling APC in the forthcoming election.

“We accept the reorganization process of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Non-Indigenes, Hon. Caleb Ono Bobi, which has helped to better reposition all affiliate associations, clubs, unions etc of non-indigenes resident in Kwara State. He advised non-indigenes not to allow themselves to be swayed by the deceits of opposition parties in the state but to queue behind the All Progressives Congress led administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to return his government to power in at the March elections.

“In the same vein, the President of the South-South Community in Kwara, Sir Christopher Ozonuwe appealed to all non-indigenes in the state to be very watchful of political hawks during this election year so that they do not fall to their empty promises and open deceits but to always align with the purposeful governance of the current administration of AbdulRazaq.

“Our SSA and other government appointees on Inter-Community Relations are men of good professional and intellectual clout. So, we believe the governor has truly done us a good turn by appointing them into his cabinet. We are solidly behind them in the onerous task to re-elect our governor for another four years of untarnished governance of our Kwara State.”

Adokutu also announced that non-indigenes in the state will carry out a Non-Indigenes Solidarity Rally for the Governor’s second term re-election soon.

Kwara gets World Bank funding to boost primary healthcare

Kwara State has secured a World Bank funding to support infrastructure upgrade in at least one primary healthcare facility in each of the 193 wards of the state — another fruit of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s constant payment of counterpart funds for different healthcare services.

The Governor will formally launch the programme on Monday 23rd, January, 2023, where cheques will be presented to the benefitting PHCs across the state.

Dr. Nusirat Elelu, executive secretary of the Kwara State Health Care Development Agency, said in a statement that the N887,800,000 support comes under the Immunisation Plus and Malaria Progress by Accelerating Coverage and Transforming Services (IMPACT) project, for which the government has paid a counterpart fund.

“In the pursuance of Universal Health coverage for Kwarans and repositioning the Primary HealthCare system to be able to meet the demands of all and sundry, the Kwara State Government along with 13 other states have secured a facility to strengthen Primary Health Care centres across the state,” according to the statement.

“This support is coming through the World Bank assisted- IMPACT project through a Decentralised Facility Financing (DFF), with an initial disbursement of Investment fund to one Primary Health Care Centre (PHC) in each of the 193geopolitical wards in Kwara State. This initial investment fund is meant to support the PHCs to achieve an ideal level 2 Primary HealthCare centre, that has the capacity to provide the basic minimum package of health services.

“The utilisation of these funds will be governed by a work plan developed by the health facility staff in conjunction with the Ward Development Committee, to be approved by the Kwara State Primary HealthCare Development Agency. This plan will take care of basic needs in the health centre, such as infrastructural upgrades, equipment, drugs, consumables, clean water sources, and security, based on identified needs.

“Furthermore, through the DFF mechanism, operational funds will subsequently be transferred quarterly to these 193 PHCs to meet the day-to-day running of the benefitting health centres. The quarterly operational fund will be jointly administered by both the Ward Development Committee Chairmen and the Officer in charge of the PHCs to foster transparency and accountability. Oversight will also be jointly provided by the National Primary HealthCare Development Agency, State Primary HealthCare Development Agency, LGA Health Authority, and the World Bank.

“Prior to the receipt of this support from the World Bank, His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kwara State, expressed interest in getting the support for Primary HealthCare Centres in the State and paid the required counterpart fund for the state to be eligible. With this support, health centres will improve in infrastructure and quality-of-service delivery. The fund will go a long way in reducing under five and maternal morbidity and mortality in the state and help to rapidly improve coverage of key maternal and child health interventions. Kwarans are welcome to a new era of improved Primary Health Care services.”

Kwara: APC Presidential Campaign Rally, Atiku’s SUG-like Campaign and the doubting Thomases of the Saraki dynasty

By Abdulqaudri Mahmud

Before the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign plane landed in Ilorin on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, the doubting Thomases of the Saraki dynasty had said all sorts of condemnable things like “Buhari will not come because he does not like how AbdulRazaq is managing the state”, “Tinubu and AbdulRazaq are not on good terms”, and “Kwarans won’t attend the campaign because they are fed up with AbdulRazaq”, among others. They took to the internet and misled as many as possible of their unsuspecting readers.

The campaign which was massively attended by the loyalists of the APC, and most especially Kwarans, slapped the rumor-mongers and doubting Thomases of the Saraki dynasty with facts and proof that President Muhammad Buhari, incoming President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kwara APC, and specifically Kwarans are solidly behind Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq — who has been the hope of the hopeless since he became the mayor of the state in 2019.

The unprecedented APC presidential campaign didn’t only clear the doubts of the doubting Thomases of the Saraki dynasty — it also proved that the Saraki dynasty has been rejected by the majority of Kwarans who said Otoge, enough is enough in 2019. Their massive presence at the campaign is a pointer that their stance remains the same — Otoge! As I pointed out in one of my previous articles that “Kwarans have compared and contrasted the Saraki dynasty/PDP inglorious 16 years and Governor AbdulRazaq’s progressive 3 years and some months, and they prefer the latter’s.” Has the APC presidential campaign not proven me right?

If not that Bukola Saraki and his fake boys aka Sarakites are shameless, the Saraki dynasty does not deserve to come back in 2023 — not even in the next 50 years. But see them, shameless folks, regrouping themselves to return to power, so that they can continue the loot if allowed to stir the affairs of the state. Kwarans, specifically the civil servants can’t forget how the Saraki dynasty maltreated them. The dynasty owed them salaries and denied their promotions. It didn’t stop there, it also made their children learn under terrible conditions with dilapidated school buildings and the absence of learning materials. The diversion of Kwara’s money for personal use ended with the Saraki dynasty.

The APC campaign has thrown the Saraki dynasty and Kwara PDP into confusion and excruciating pain. They didn’t expect the massive turnout. Of course, they had thought it would not be different from the Atiku-Okowa SUG-like campaign. It has shredded and shattered their hope of coming back. But if you know these Sarakites like this essayist, you will trust them to start giving a dumb reason for the massive crowds at the campaign.

Abdulqaudri Mahmud writes from Ilorin East LGA, Zango Ward, Ilorin Kwara state

Our work is speaking for us, says Kwara Gov

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Wednesday said the good works of the administration have placed it in a good standing with the people who are the beneficiaries of its investments in road infrastructure, healthcare, education, safety nets, and expansion of the local economy.

The Governor was speaking in Ilorin, the state capital, when a team from the Vanguard Newspapers presented him with the official notification of his nomination as Vanguard’s Governor of the Year 2022 for purposeful leadership.

“We have remained focused on the things that matter to the largest majority of the people of Kwara State. Whether in the education, health sector, provision of potable water, or access roads, we have recorded milestones that everyone can testify to. Our indices are out there. What we do are things that people can see and are benefitting from” the Governor said.

The Governor recalled the terrible situation of basic and tertiary education, public water system, and the appalling indices in the health sector in 2019, saying he is happy to have turned around the situation positively in less than four years.

He said there are still a lot of work to be done to consolidate the gains of the past three years, especially in the area of laying solid foundations for economic growth and redefining governance as a people-focused enterprise.

The Governor thanked the Vanguard Newspaper for the honour of the prized award, saying he would dedicate it to the people of the state who continue to believe in him and offer their support at various times.

The board of editors led by Editor of Vanguard (Daily) Mr. Eze Anaba and Editor of Saturday Vanguard Mr. Onochie Anibeze said they were impressed by not just the physical development and achievements of the Governor in key sectors like education but also by the feedback they have got since coming to town.

“Your administration’s interventions in key sectors: education, healthcare, infrastructure, industrialization, agriculture, and workers’ welfare have taken governance to the remotest parts of Kwara,” the newspaper said.

The paper said there has been a huge improvement in the water sector and commended the Governor for leading his colleague in gender mainstreaming and empowerment of the vulnerable groups.

Tinubu/ Shetima rally: A sign of APC victory — Kwara Governor

The massive crowd of APC members , supporters and stakeholders who trooped out en masse from all parts of Kwara State to welcome the Presidential Candidate of the party , Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running mate , Senator Kashim Shetima to the party Presidential campaign rally in Ilorin on Tuesday clearly reaffirmed the overwhelming support for APC from the electorate and its brightest chances to record a landslide victory in the 2023 general elections.

Appreciating members of the Local Organising Committee in a post rally review meeting, Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq believes that overwhelming majority of the people of Kwara State relished the historic Republican spirit gained from the 2019 political revolution which put godfatherism into dust bin of history in Kwara politics.

The Governor noted with great delight Kwarans’ acknowledgement of the unprecedented achievements of his Administration in the past 4 years as demonstrated by their impressive turn out to assure Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu / Shetima team and other leaders of the party of APC landslide’s victory in the 2023 general elections in Kwara State.
