*PRESS RELEASE*
We the undersigned, on behalf of stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, unequivocally disown and dissociate ourselves from the recent protest action carried out by a group of aggrieved chieftains in our LGA.
This unauthorized demonstration, which included the picketing of the residence of our esteemed State APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, accompanied by unprovoked insults and unruly behavior, does not represent the views, values, or conduct of the vast majority of Asa APC members and leaders.
*We deeply regret and apologize to the leadership of the Kwara State APC, particularly to Prince Sunday Fagbemi, for the embarrassment, distress, and disruption caused by this unfortunate incident amid the just-concluded Ward and LGA congress exercises. Such actions are antithetical to the principles of discipline, respect, and unity that our great party upholds.*
As committed stakeholders, we reaffirm our unwavering dedication to the unity, progress, and collective success of the APC in Kwara State and beyond. We pledge to engage proactively with all chieftains, executives, and members in Asa LGA to ensure full compliance with party directives.
We shall prevail upon everyone to accord the highest regard to our party leadership at all levels and to refrain from any actions, individually or collectively, that could embarrass, divide, or undermine the APC.
Together, we stand for a stronger, more cohesive party in Asa and Kwara State
